“There is something quite valuable in imagining the powers as beastly creatures. Every creature has weaknesses; all flesh has vulnerabilities…[w]e must take up this work of exposing and repelling [these beasts] until we resurrect such an abundance of life in this land that every vulture of death is starved.”

The Winter 2021 Edition of Geez Magazine draws on the Ancient Christian concept of “Principalities and Powers” to discuss issues of injustice, systems, and evil.

We will use a few of the pieces from Geez’s online edition to root an evening of conversation.

Pour yourself a glass of something thought provoking and join in an engaging evening of pondering together…

Is this conception, the personification of systems, a helpful one? What does it offer?

“Some things cannot be seen until we name them” – have you found this to be true in your life?

About Geez Magazine:
Geez is a quarterly magazine that invites deep reflection on faith and justice with provocative and challenging writing.
